remake of a piece I did in 2010. I haven't drawn a lot recently so I am so pleased with the fact that I am actually still improving 
This is Persephone returning to Hades, which signals the end of summer. When Persephone is serving her required time in the underworld with her husband her mother Demeter is too unhappy to continue tending to nature, thus allowing the cold to set in until Persephone's return.
I like to think that Persephone and Hades have a good relationship, so I choose to portray them as being happy to be with each other again

They did have a good relationship if what Hades did to Pirithous for trying to steal her from him and what Persephone did to Minthe when she tried to seduce Hades are any indication.
